Jayne Mansfield's Car focuses on the conflict, between society's cultures and family differences, between two families. It takes place in the still-segregated South during the 1960s. It is a Southern family interacting and conflicting with a British family. In the trailer, it is established that the matriarch is the same for both families. She left her original family in the South and married into a family from England. When she passes on, she request that she's buried back in the United States. Her new family travels to the US for the funeral proceedings. While there is a clash of cultures, both families slowly find things to relate to.
