New York - The teen sensation has swept the nation and their new appearance at Times Square Madame Tussauds is making a lot of young women jump for joy — and right on a plane to NYC this summer.
One Direction is on tour and in New York City — well, their doppelgangers are at least. Well, their fake doppelgangers. That’s right, the whole band has gotten waxed by none other than Madame Tussauds. “Directioners” can now visit and pose with the boys for however long they want, but they're going to have to get in line.
Last weekend, the One Direction Wax Figures started their run at Madame Tussauds in NYC for a few months, until October 11th when they head off to Sydney and Tokyo. 1D fandom rejoices — check out the latest figures to be added to the famous wax museum.
The demand for these pop sensations has been soaring high in every museum location. Fans have been anticipating the wax replications of the stars of their obsessions and have been a huge success thus far. Beginning in London, the band’s current home, the figures moved to NYC and will stay for only 12 weeks before moving on with their tour.
The band worked with Madame Tussauds expert team to create their exact clones. From skin tone to eyecolor, the figures are spot on. The boys even donated some of their own clothes to match their signature style. The museum, the boys and their fans are all thrilled with how they came out and are excited about their stay in the city. One Direction is honored to be among the most famous names in history.
Stop by Madamde Tussuads this summer and early fall to meet Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry and Louis for yourself!
