article imageNewest alleged serial killer faces court in Cleveland

By Alexander Baron     Jul 24, 2013 in Crime
Cleveland - Cleveland is rapidly becoming famous for all the wrong reasons. The home of serial killer Anthony Sowell, of Ariel Castro, and now of another serial killer.
Although a man has appeared in court charged with their murders, the only thing that can be said for certain at present is that three more women in the City of Cleveland have been claimed by a serial killer. So who is the suspect? His name is Michael Madison, and he is a convicted sex offender. He is said to be obsessed with convicted serial killer Anthony Sowell, and some would say he bears a striking physical likeness to him, a likeness that may not be coincidental.
America has been so preoccupied with the Zimmerman/Martin case of late that it appears not to have noticed that women were still vanishing off the streets in Cleveland. A cynic might say this is because there is no political capital to be made out of black women who are murdered by black men, particularly serial killers.
The other two infamous denizens of Cleveland — Ariel Castro and Anthony Sowell — are currently in the news: Castro because of his ongoing prosecution; Sowell because he has filed an appeal.
Compare the photograph of Sowell below with the screengrab of Madison above during his first court appearance; the resemblance is uncanny. In the United States, even the most notorious of alleged killers are entitled to bail. Madison's has been set at $6,000,000.
