London - The royal family of England will be expanding shortly. Kensington Palace confirmed that The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted to hospital this morning in the early stages of labour.
The Duchess and Prince William went by car from their residence at Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital. She was admitted to hospital at 6 a.m. London time. The official word from the palace is that labor is progressing normally.
This past weekend Prince William and his wife left her family's home for London creating speculation that Middleton was in labor.
When the baby does arrive it is expected that the announcement will come to Twitter before the traditional birth announcement placement on the gates of Buckingham Palace.
