article imageVideo: Father captures baby's first year on video 1 second a day

For the ultimate of cute, this video shows the first year of a baby Indigo's life, with one-second clips taken every day from birth. And boy, do they grow up fast!
English photographer and video blogger Sam Cornwell decided to document his son Indigo's growth using a montage of one-second iPhone clips. He shot these clips every single day from the moment of birth right up to the baby's first birthday.
Cornwell then spent two weeks editing and compiling the above video, using more than 1,200 video clips,
We can watch the baby's progress from lying in the hospital just after birth, all the way through to taking his first steps and trying to put a candle into a birthday cake.
Cornwell says he was inspired by artist Cesar Kuriyama‘s "One Second Everyday" project,
Cornwell and his wife intend to continue filming their son, although they are not sure they will publish any more videos. However, the above was posted on YouTube on July 12, and has so far garnered almost 400,000 views, so maybe that will encourage the family to publish more.

In the description on the video, Cornwell states, "All proceeds from this video will be put towards Indigo's college fund. You can donate here: indigoc.com."
And he says:
"Meet our son Indigo who was born on the 9th July 2012. From that day my wife and I videoed Indigo at least once a day, every day up to a year old. For his first birthday we've spent some time putting together a video of his entire first year. He doesn't quite appreciate it yet, but we hope that in a few years he will."
