Legendary singer Tina Turner, 73, and German-born record producer beau, Erwin Bach, 57, tied the knot in Switzerland after a 27-year courtship.
Municipal official Hannes Fries reported to E! News the two married in a quiet civil ceremony at Lake Zurick in Küsnacht, Northern Switzerland just a few days ago.
He added, “There will be a private celebration in Küsnacht on Sunday, [July 21]. We do not have any information about names or number of guests.”
However, France 24 reported the couple will celebrate their union at their Küsnacht home with 120 guests at an intimate Buddhist ceremony. (Turner is a practicing Buddhist.) Sade, David Bowie and Oprah Winfrey are on the guest list.
The eight-time Grammy award winner will wear a Giorgio Armani gown.
Bach and Turner met in 1985 and have been together ever since, living 15 of those years in Switzerland.
Previously, both Turner and Bach said there was no need to make their relationship "legal," but after 27 years, they have, apparently, changed their minds.
Her first marriage to performance partner Ike Turner lasted 14 turbulent years. Tina escaped from an abusive relationship with Ike, and they divorced in 1978. Reportedly, Ike died from a cocaine overdose in 2007.
The singer revealed the abuse in her 1986 memoir, “I, Tina,” and a movie based on her life,”What's Love Got to Do with It?, was released in 1993, starring Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne.
Her unique voice is known for belting out "Proud Mary, “ “We Don't Need Another Hero” and “Private Dancer." After a farewell tour, she retired from performing in 2009.
In April 2013, Tina officially became a Swiss citizen and gave up her U.S. Passport.
