article imageReview: Lee Brice allows fans to have a good time on 'Parking Lot Party'

By Markos Papadatos     Jul 14, 2013 in Entertainment
Country singer Lee Brice followed up his poignant ballad “I Drive Your Truck” with his new single “Parking Lot Party.” It is the fourth single from his sophomore studio album “Hard 2 Love.”
Whether it is a country music concert at the Pennysaver Amphitheater in Farmingville, New York or a sold-out show at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, “parking lot parties” are ubiquitous and Lee Brice is the ideal singer to sing this upbeat, fun tune.
He co-wrote this single with Thomas Rhett, Luke Laird and Rhett Akins. In the song’s lyrics, he even makes an allusion to the iconic southern rock group, The Marshall Tucker Band’s signature song “Can’t You See.”
The Verdict
This new single by Lee Brice showcases his versatility as an artist since it has a laid back vibe to it and he lets loose and simultaneously allows his fans to have a good time with him. It deserves 4 out of 5 stars and although it sits at No. 21 on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts (for the week ending July 20), it is worthy of becoming a Top 10 hit for Lee Brice, to the very least.
