Calgary-born Cory Monteith, 31, one of the stars of hit TV show Glee, was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room on Saturday.
Born Cory Allan Michael Monteith in Calgary and raised in British Columbia, Monteith has been battling drug related problems since the early age of 19 reports Global News.
Monteith, who has starred in 89 episodes of the hit TV series Glee, was found dead around noon at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver. When he missed his check-out time, staff went to the room at noon and found his body. Postmedia is reporting that family was notified on Saturday night.
Further details will be released pending an investigation by the British Columbia Coroners Service. But police said no foul play is suspected.
