Iraq war veteran and political activist Adam Kokesh was arrested Tuesday night after a SWAT Team invaded his home, allegedly using excessive force on those who were present and leaving the property in shambles.
Helicopters, flash grenades, a SWAT Team, and other various officers of the law might seem like overkill for just one person but the United States Parks Police apparently thought it was more than appropriate for Adam Kokesh on the night of Tuesday, July 9th, 2013.
Late Tuesday night, shortly after Kokesh finished up an interview with Alex Jones on the Infowars Nightly News, a U.S. Park Police SWAT Team knocked on the front door of Kokesh's home then proceeded to bust the door open, toss a flash grenade into the foyer, and invade the home.
According to other people who were present at the time, Kokesh was taking a nap when the SWAT Team arrived. They grabbed and detained Kokesh and everyone else in the house, first placing everyone in the same room together then eventually moving Kokesh to a separate room. Witnesses say Kokesh and his girlfriend were both denied access to the bathroom and Kokesh was kicked in the stomach upon requesting to use the bathroom.
Kokesh was taken out of the house in handcuffs and charged with possession of hallucinogenic mushrooms while possessing a firearm.
This all comes after Kokesh's bold statement on Independence Day when he stood in Freedom Plaza in Washington D.C., loading a 12-gauge shotgun and declaring himself a part of the Final American Revolution.
