New York - During an interview with Hot 97 Jay-Z spoke about his former Roc-A-Fella Records partner, Damon Dash. Hov said their work together was "historical" and despite their fallout, he still has love for Dash.
"What we built, you can't take that away," the hiphop mogul said during the interview. "No matter what, no time or space. No matter how many years I ain't seen him, the love is still there because what we've done will forever be stamped in history. We created something that's going to going to go down forever. I can only have love for Damon."
Jay-Z also spoke about a potential reunion with Dash, HipHopDX reports. "I just don't know where we are in our life," he said. "Are we the same two young men at that time? Will we gel in that way? We were two different people. I haven't seen him in a while. I can't remember when was the last time."
Dash recently posted a Vine of him listening to Hov's new album Magna Carta Holy Grail. He called the experience "bittersweet." He was recently hit with a $2.8 million tax lien and has had financial problems for several years.
During the interview Jay-Z revealed he still has confidence in Dame Dash and he doesn't regret what happened between them. "In life, I can't control everything, all the things in life," Hov said. "I have ultimate confidence in him that he'll find his way cause hes an amazing and really smart guy. He's a hustler and he's highly intelligent, so I always root for him and always believe he'll find his way out of it."
