Following the crash of an Israeli F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet into the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Gaza the Israeli Air Force has grounded all of its combat aircraft.
The Jewish Daily Forward and Yahoo! News report that until the Israeli military have found what exactly caused that F-16 jet to crash none of the air forces other jets will take off.
An Israeli military spokesperson outlined how the air force commander made the decision to "ground all F-16 and F-15 planes until circumstances of the incident are reviewed."
The F-16 that crashed in the sea done so after its engine malfunctioned. The pilot and navigator both managed to eject and were later recovered from the sea by helicopter.
The fighter jet went down off the coast of the Palestinian Gaza Strip territory.
