article imageReview: 'Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection' is a legend in one set Special

'Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection' is both an introduction to the series for a new generation and a restoration for old school gamers.
With Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zero and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain coming soon; this gives gamers the chance to go back and catch up with an iconic game series.
The Legacy Collection will feature all the games in the main series (except for Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops) restored in high definition along with two digital graphic novels and a special booklet.
Gamers could go back to the Shadow Moses Incident or replay Operation Snake Eater. The collection also includes the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, released in the 90's for the MSX.
Unfortunately if you already have Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection then there is no real point in getting The Legacy Collection. The only thing missing is Metal Gear Solid and that could be downloaded via PlayStation Network.
Also they included Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, which means you will have to listen to Raiden cry about his feelings for a good two hours.
Despite its minor shortcomings; Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection is the perfect way to introduce someone to the iconic series. Just remember to skip the Sons of Liberty part.
Final Score: 4/5
