article imageOp-Ed: 'Martial Law' is coming to a city near you

By Alex Allen     Jul 6, 2013 in Politics
The plans are already in place for military occupation of U.S. soil and the use of troops to carry out domestic law enforcement and security practices.
It's time to stop ignoring the evidence and admit the facts; martial law is slowly being rolled out in America. Endless unclassified and declassified documents show the plans the United States government has been putting into place for decades. From civil unrest training course manuals to legislation that created massive prison camps it is very clear that the powers that be have plans to roll out something big.
An important point to note is the fact that martial law in America will not come by one massive event that sparks chaos and causes the government to send troops out onto the streets to round people up. Instead, the martial law system is to be slowly rolled out, piece by piece, until the American people have accepted it without even knowing it. Because what better way to sneak something in than to make people think it's not happening until it's already too late?
Since September 11th, 2001, the United States government has been able to slowly roll out various aspects of a tyrannical police state in the name of fighting against terrorism. We now have the Transportation Security Administration randomly searching and groping people at airports, security checkpoints along the highways, and a huge spy grid. Edward Snowden is now one of the most wanted men in America because he revealed information to the general public about the government's unconstitutional and inhumane spy program, which many who get their news and information from sources outside the mainstream have already known about for years. But aside from the obvious, there are strategic plans that have been put into place by aspects of the United States government for rolling out a full-scale system of Martial Law across the nation. Below is a list of suspicious government activity which suggests preparation for a somewhat large scale event.
1.) In 2009, HR 645 was introduced to the 111th U.S. Congress. The bill was to "direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish national emergency centers on military installations."
2.) A course overview from the United States Army Military Police School shows a full description of a course entirely over preparations for civil unrest. Subcourse Number MP1005 is a course titled "Civil Disturbance Operations" and is a study of crowd control and other techniques to be used during a civil disturbance.
3.) A recent KBR document shows FEMA's division of the continental United States into five regions for a civil disturbance scenario and calls for subcontractors to work at the various facilities within all five regions.
4.) Since early last year, several government departments and agencies have been purchasing ammunition in bulk. In April, 2012 it was reported that the Department of Homeland Security was purchasing 450 million rounds of ammunition. They continued by purchasing 750 million more rounds in August, 2012 and 2.16 million more rounds in February, 2013. The Social Security Administration and National Weather Service also purchased large amounts of ammunition in August, 2012. (Note: A lot of the ammunition purchased by these domestic departments was hollow point ammunition, which is illegal to use in international warfare. Homeland Security and others have also claimed that the bulk ammunition is for training purposes but full metal jacket bullets are more commonly used for training as opposed to hollow points, which are more expensive.)
5.) Over the last several years, urban warfare drills have been increasing across the nation. The military often chooses environments similar to what they plan to be working around to train in and they have chosen recently to train in large US cities.
So are the government and military in the United States planing for something big to happen? With the increased police state style policies, it's something the average American should certainly be asking.
