article imageAlec Baldwin goes on rather nasty homophobic twitter rant

By Marcus Hondro     Jun 29, 2013 in Entertainment
Alec Baldwin responded to reports his wife texted recipes while the funeral of actor James Gandofini was going on around her by attacking a U.K. reporter who wrote the initial story. Baldwin tweeted homophobic slurs about the reporter.
TMZ says it's not the first homophobic rant the '30 Rock' star has gone on, noting that Baldwin tweeted that the reporter was "a toxic little queen." He also wrote "If (sic) put my foot up your f---ing ass, George Stark, but I'm sure you'd dig it too much" and called Stark a "f---ing little bitch" before just plain threatening him with "I'm gonna f--k you up."
Baldwin denies homophobic intentions
Baldwin later deleted those tweets from his twitter account and wrote an apology. Given the remark about Stark enjoying the foot up his "f---ing ass" the apology's sincerity is arguably suspect, but here it is:
"The idea of me calling this guy a 'queen' and that being something that people thought is homophobic ... a queen to me has a different meaning. It’s somebody who’s just above. It doesn’t have any necessarily sexual connotations.
"I know women that act queeny, I know men that are straight that act queeny, and I know gay men that act queeny. It doesn’t have to be a definite sexual connotation, or a homophobic connotation. To me those are people who think the rules don’t apply to them."
Daily News photog: Baldwin like "raging bull"
Mr. Baldwin has displayed his mercurial temper before, for example last June a New York Daily News photographer, Marcus Santos said Baldwin attacked him "like a raging bull." It was at least the third such incident involving Baldwin and a photographer.
He and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, nee Thomas, married last year. She is 29, he's 55.
