Boca Raton - A Florida woman used her son's toy gun to scare off an intruder after he had entered her home Monday night. The man who entered the home was later arrested and charged with the crime.
UPI reports that Jane Rainboth was in her bed about to go to sleep when she was alerted by her barking dog as someone entered her home through a cut screen and pried sliding glass door and peered into her bedroom.
Upon seeing the man, Rainboth grabbed her son's toy gun which was sitting on her nightstand. According to the Sun Sentinel, Rainboth reportedly began yelling:
"I got a gun! I got a gun!"
WPEC-TV reports that the man, who was later identified as 27-year-old Roland Stuart Jr., quickly fled the scene and was later found by police in a heavily wooded area near the home.
On Tuesday, Stuart went before a judge and was charged with breaking and entering the home. His bond was set at $75,000.
