Eau Claire - A 12-year-old Wisconsin boy was reported missing after his grandmother dropped him off at a local ballpark as she searched for a place to park. Oddly enough, the boy was found about two hours later sleeping in the backseat of the wrong car.
According to TwinCities.com, the grandmother drove with the boy to the ballpark around 8pm Monday night and let him out in the parking lot so that he could go play while she found a suitable place to park.
Channel3000 reports that after the grandmother had parked and gone onto the field, she assumed that her grandson had gone to play at another park adjacent to the ballpark.
She soon realized that he hadn't made it to the other park and notified police. Other people who were in the vicinity that evening joined in the search efforts for the missing child.
UPI reports that another woman who was at the ballpark found the boy asleep in the backseat of another car.
When the boy was questioned by police officers, he stated that he wanted to rest for a little while and climbed into the back of a car that looked similar to his grandmother's vehicle.
The grandmother later took the boy home.
