article imageReview: Atlas Genius delivers on 'When It Was Now' CD

By Markos Papadatos     Jun 27, 2013 in Entertainment
Australian duo Atlas Genius released their newest studio album “When It Was Now” on their label, Warner Brothers Records.
Atlas Genius is made up of Keith Jeffery on lead vocals and guitar, as well as drummer Michael Jeffery.
It commences with “Electric,” which is a strong opener that grabs the listeners’ attention and immerses them into Atlas Genius’ musical world.
It is followed by their single “If So” and the infectious “Back Seat.”
My personal favorite track is “Centered On You,” where Keith showcases his superb vocals and it certainly deserves to be sent to radio as a single at some point. Equally fun is “All These Girls,” which is a cool melody and extremely catchy.
It closes with the title cut and “Symptoms.”
The Verdict
Overall, Atlas Genius does a great job on their latest studio album “When It Was Now.” It really is a breath of fresh air and it may very well be one of the most underrated and unique albums released this year. It garners two thumbs up and it is evident that the Warner Brothers Records label knows true talent to have these two Australian musicians on their impressive roster of artists. Fans of alternative and rock music will certainly be in awe of this collection of songs.
