article imageMan killed teen rapper Lil Snupe in fight over video game

By Marcus Hondro     Jun 23, 2013 in Crime
It appears a 36-year-old man shot and killed 18-year-old rapper, Lil Snupe, after the two quarreled over a video game they were playing at a mutual friend's place. Lil Snupe was considered an up and coming rapper and he'd just signed with a label.
The man who allegedly took Lil Snupe's life is Tony Holden and police in Winnifield, Louisiana say he's a convicted felon. It's unknown if the deceased musician was aware of the criminal past of the man he was arguing with.
There is a warrant out for Holden, who shot Lil Snupe twice in the chest and fled the apartment, and he is considered armed and dangerous. The details of the argument over the video game haven't been released.
Lil Snupe, whose real name was Addarren Ross, had signed to Meek Mill's new record label 'Dream Chasers' earlier this year. At that time Mills, who has tweeted his sorrow about Lil Snupe's killing, spoke highly of the potential of the young rapper.
"He was spittin' so much pain, he's from the south with a flow like an East Coast guy," Mill said in February. "Like with that bounce flow, all over the place, he really can spit, and he was talking that talk that I can really relate to. I seen potential in him."
Meek Mill has made a video tribute to Lil Snupe and it is included above.
