Miami Heat's star LeBron James is looking forward to his unbelievable and best wedding ever when he ties the knot with longtime sweetheart Savannah Brinson on Sept. 13 in San Diego, California.
James said he may have called off the wedding if his team lost to San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals.
The Heat won over the Spurs 95-88 in the final game of their best of seven series Thursday night at the American Airlines Arena in Florida.
After the post game press conference, James talked about his upcoming wedding with the mother of his two kids.
“I got a wedding coming up with my beautiful fiancée. It will be an unbelievable wedding now that we've won instead of losing. I might have called it off if we had lost,” James admitted.” So now it’s going to be one of the best weddings ever.”
James surprised his girlfriend on New Year's Eve a year ago when he proposed marriage to Brinson in a party after his team won over the Charlotte Bobcats.
Among James closest friends present at the party were Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. Read more.
Following the Heat's victory, James joins Bill Russell and Michael Jordan as the only players in NBA history to win back-to-back MVPs & NBA titles in the regular season. He is also the fifth player to win consecutive Finals MVP awards.
