Melbourne - Imagine that you are enjoying a good Thai dinner with your family, when suddenly a van smashes through the window and into your table, pushing you across the room. This happened in Melbourne, Australia on Friday.
The accident was caused by a drunk driver, who crashed through the front of the Fresh Chilli Thai restaurant in Melbourne, Australia, and was caught on the CCTV camera in the building.
The man's car hit three people who were eating at a table and forced them to the back of the building.
A number of restaurant patrons were injured, most of whom were from the same family, but incredibly no one was seriously hurt.
A male and two women were taken to the hospital close by with minor injuries.
Reportedly the 57-year-old male driver of the vehicle who crashed into the restaurant is assisting police with their investigation. According to local media, he was breath-tested for alcohol, and was found to be three times over the legal limit.
ABC News quoted Phil Taylor from the Melbourne Fire Department saying it was a scary scene for the patrons.
"If you're sitting in the front window of a restaurant and then have a van crash through like that - it's something that you wouldn't even think would happen," he said.
