Baghdad - According to Iraqi officials, two bomb blasts went off in the city of al-Miqdadiyah, roughly 80 kilometers northeast of Baghdad, on Wednesday.
Press TV reports that no one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
Earlier on Tuesday, 31 people were killed in a coordinated bomb attack in a Shia mosque in Baghdad, and prior to that, a further 51 people died in a series of shootings and bomb attacks across the country.
In recent months, Iraq has been facing multiple violent attacks across the country, and some Iraqi authorities have pointed their fingers at Qatar and Saudi Arabia, claiming they have played a genuine role in carrying out these plans.
According to the United Nations, nearly 1,000 people had been killed earlier in May and a further 2,000 injured, due to violent incidents.
