Ice-T is narrating a documentary called "Assaulted:Civil Rights Under Fire." The documentary focuses on the significance of the 2nd Amendment and the definition of an "assault rifle." It is set for a July 20 release.
The gun control debate has been a major issue of focus for the last six months since last December when a 20-year-old man named Adam Lanza walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut dressed in fatigues and opened fire. He killed 26 people. 20 of them were young students. He then committed suicide.
CNN talk show host Piers Morgan became very vocal in the in the gun control debate and hosted outspoken radio show host Alex Jones on his show, Piers Morgan Tonight. Jones had called for Morgan to be deported back to his native United Kingdom. He called him a "hatchet man of the new world order."
During Jones' appearance on Morgan's show, he commented, no yelled, that "1776 will commence again if you take our firearms!"
Piers had been pushing for the ban of military style semiautomatic assault weapons since the Sandy Hook massacre.
Jones revealed his anger toward all these "foreigners and globalist forces including megabanks trying to take away American guns." Morgan barely got a question or word in because Jones recited a list of world leaders who he claimed took away our guns: Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro, and Chavez. Jones wasn't open to a conversation.
Now, the debate continues and a documentary called Assaulted: Civil Rights Under Fire has been created. The documentary strives to look at the significance of the 2nd Amendment and also attempts to define "assault rifles." Actor/rapper Ice-T will be narrating and rock legend Ted Nugent also makes an appearance, HipHopDX reports. Nugent has also attacked Piers Morgan for his stance on gun control.
Ice-T is no stranger to documentaries. In the last two years, he and his manager Jorge Hinojosa have released two documentary films, Iceberg Slim: Portrait of a Pimp
and From Nothing to Something: The Art of Rap.
