A 15-year-old girl said that a Transportation Security Administration agent humiliated her after telling her that she was only 15 and she should cover herself. The girl was wearing a flannel shirt and stretch pants.
According to Consumerist, the teenager is the daughter of Boing Boing's founder, Mark Frauenfelder.
According to Boing Boing, Mark said that the TSA agent at LAX was glaring at his daughter, who was travelling with high school students on a college tour. He went onto say that the agent was mumbling, and he made the comment after his daughter asked him what he was saying.
According to WND, after the incident occurred the daughter, Sarina, text her parents, telling them that the man was hostile and that he made her feel like a slut.
Frauenfelder posted a photo of the outfit that his daughter was wearing, and blased the TSA officer on his blog, saying that it does not matter what Sarina was wearing because it was none of his business to tell girls how they should dress or tell them what they should or shouldn't be wearing. He went onto blast the officer, saying that his creepy thoughts are his own problem. He also said that the TSA officer should not have used his position as an excuse to humiliate a girl.
A spokesperson for the TSA said that they would not discuss the investigation, but the matter is being looked into.
