article imageHusband accidentally sells wife's expensive wedding ring for $10

By Jonathan Lam     Jun 13, 2013 in Business
Laguna Niguel - As this California wife is sent to the hospital to give birth to her fifth child, her husband accidentally sells her $23,000 wedding ring.
Racquel Cloutier wanted to keep her wedding ring safe and out of harms way from her 2 year-old twin boys before she heads to the hospital to deliver her unborn child. She decides that putting the ring in a watch box was the best hiding spot from her kids and with that she left to the hospital.
While she was at the hospital, her husband takes part in a community garage sale. He put the watch box for sale and someone bought it for $10. A day later Racquel Cloutier comes back home and realizes the ring along with the watch box was missing.
“He didn’t know that before I went to the hospital, I put my ring in that box. I wanted the ring to be in a safe place and out of reach from my 2-year-old twins,” Cloutier told ABC News.
“I’m very, very, very upset,” Cloutier continued. “I’m trying to remain optimistic but I don’t know anymore. There’s a small chance whoever bought the box doesn’t know the ring is in there.”
According to the husband, the ring was inadvertently bought by a blonde woman who was at first unsure if she would even buy the watch box.
A small reward is being offered by the Cloutiers to who ever brings the ring back.
