article imageCassadee Pope sells over 125,000 copies of new single in one week

Nashville - The good news for Cassadee Pope keeps on coming. On June 12, it was announced that her debut country single “Wasting All These Tears” has sold well over 125,000 digital copies in its first week of release, which is quite an accomplishment.
Several factors that have played a vital role in this chart success is her powerful vocal performance on last week’s results show of “The Voice,” the same platform where she was crowned winner of Season 3, as well as her opening slot on Rascal Flatts’ “Live and Loud” tour, where she is performing each night in front of thousands of country fans and sharing the stage with The Band Perry.
While she was on Team Blake (Shelton) on Season 3 of “The Voice,” she took many songs to the top of the iTunes charts and this past week, the single went to No. 1 on the iTunes country songs charts, as well as No. 2 on the all-genre songs charts. Collectively across all online retail platforms, “Wasting All These Tears” debuted at No. 2 on the top digital country chart, as well as No. 10 on the top digital songs chart.
On June 5, Cassadee also performed on the CMT Music awards, where she premiered her new tune in front of her Nashville fan-base and subsequently, she garnered the second most-added song at country radio last week (after Kenny Chesney’s new single).
If all of these aforementioned achievements were not enough, Cassadee also made it on Spotify’s “Top 10 Most Viral” tracks list.
Finally, it was revealed that a CMT docu-series is being made that will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Cassadee’s new album, which is produced by Dann Huff. The release of this docu-series is slated for fall of 2013.
