A video uploaded to YouTube has captured the imagination of thousands of YouTube users. It appears to show a heroic dog pushing its owner on a wheelchair through a flooded street.
The mobile phone footage was shot by a female passenger in a car that drove past the man-and-dog pair. It appears to have been shot somewhere in Russia.
Although, some viewers on YouTube have criticized the driver for not stopping to help the pair, the man on the wheelchair appears to signal to the driver to move on. It is not certain whether he was waving away help or merely directing the driver through the flood.
As the car moves past the man, we see a dog standing on its hind-legs behind the wheelchair. The dog appears to be pushing the wheelchair through the flooded portion of the road.
The Huffington Post reports that the voice in the video speaks the Russian language. She says; "God, poor dog. Looks like the dog is pushing him."
The clip was uploaded to YouTube on June 8 by YouTube user Kitrox 8 and has received about 300,000 views. The Russian caption, according to The Telegraph, translates "Dog helps a disabled owner."
