San Francisco - There is a lot of talk about platinum-selling rapper 2 Chainz being robbed in San Francisco hours before he was scheduled to perform. Police have spoken to the media to share their story and 2Chainz has taken to Twitter to share his.
Sgt. Dennis Toomer says the HipHop star whose real name is Tauheed Epps, was with five members of his entourage near downtown San Francisco Sunday afternoon when they were approached by three men. One of them was said to be holding a handgun, The Associated Press reports. Toomer went onto say that one shot was fired and the Atlanta rapper had his cellphone along with his wallets, which had his credit cards and cash inside, stolen.
According to TMZ, 2Chainz was uncooperative with police saying he wanted to handle the incident himself. He told police his wallet was stolen and that was it. He was completely unfazed by whatever else was reported to have taken place.
The rapper took to Twitter to address rumors because he felt they had gotten entirely way too out of hand. "Rule #1if a rapper gets robbed people usually post items that has been taken. Rings, chains, watch, money, etc. 2 answer that question," he tweeted. "Rule #2 "if a rapper gets shot, he usually goes to a hospital or dies. Rule #3 we definitely got geeked up in San Fran, best smoke in the world. 2 blessed to stress."
Police say the shooting suspect got away in a gray sedan, The Associated Press reports.
2Chainz had been in San Francsico to perform at KMEL-FM's annual Summer Jam concert Sunday night.
"I reportedly killed summer jam tho! #bayarea," the rapper tweeted.
