A New Jersey detective has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting a man during a road rage incident in Maryland.
Joseph Walker, an officer of the Hudson County prosecutor's office, was charged after the incident Saturday June 8th on Route 3. Walker fired his gun at the victim after he and a passenger exited their vehicle and started walking towards Walker's. The two vehicles were stopped beside one another on an exit ramp following a previous altercation. The victim died of his wounds at a Baltimore hospital Saturday night. According to CNN, Walker's wife and three children were in the car at the time of the incident.
Walker has been held on charges of second-degree murder and manslaughter. The victim's passenger was unharmed.
