The convictions of Rafal Nowak, Anna Lagwinowicz and Tadevsz Dmytryszyn were reported here
Saturday. This morning they were sentenced at Bristol Crown Court. A BBC correspondent was there
and reported on the victim impact statement of Catherine's mother and on the sentence of all three.
The trial judge, Mrs Justice Sharp called the murder a grotesque and callous killing carried out purely for money but fueled by jealousy. Lagwinowicz was the former girlfriend of Nowak, who had a wife and child in their native Poland; Dmytryszyn is his uncle.
Although the actual murder was carried out by Nowak, in passing the mandatory life sentence, the judge gave each a tariff of 32 years saying they were equally culpable, equally to blame, and equally sentenced.
