article imageSomeone beat the world record as the fastest clapper (video)

By Anne Sewell     Jun 9, 2013 in Entertainment
Bryan Bednarek has single-handedly... wait, no ... DOUBLE-handedly shattered the world clapping record at 802 claps in one minute, and here is the living video proof.
Reportedly, the previous world record for number of claps in one minute was 721, which was created by Kent French and is apparently a Guinness World Record.
In his video he introduces himself as Kent French but says, you can call him "Toast," and he sounds rather smug. But guess what? His record is now toast, so the nickname turned out to be an appropriate one.
Along comes Bryan Bednarek, who you can see in the above video, totally destroying French's record. In the comments on YouTube people asked, why the headphones? Turns out he is listening to a metronome to keep things steady.
When asked how they managed to count the claps, Rob Scallon comments "very very very tediously hahaha."
Here we can see Bednarek warming up prior to his world record, working with his drummer friend, Rob Scallon:
This guy should really get into flamenco, he would be astounding. While he would need to learn the dance moves, he has the palmas (handclaps) down pat.
