Miami Heat takes Game 7 to win the Eastern Conference Finals Monday night , scoring 99-76 over Indiana Pacers to earn the right to face the San Antonio Spurs for the NBA title.
Led by the team star player LeBron James, with back up from reliable teammates Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, Miami Heat outplayed the Indiana Pacers in the third and last quarter for a third straight entry into the NBA finals.
James walked away with 32 points as he was pulled out from the game five minutes before the end of the last quarter as the Pacers struggled to bring down the lead to a single digit.
The lead was insurmountable that even without James in the court, there is just no way Pacers can reverse the situation.
Dwayne Wade who struggled in his previous games due to minor injuries had his best performance in the series with 21 points and nine rebounds.
The Heat held on to their double digit lead halfway into the third quarter and made several conversions to push the score up 19 points less than two minutes before the end of the third quarter.
Heat's biggest lead in the game in the third quarter was 21 points with the score of 76-55 at the end of the quarter.
A series of 3-point shots by Ray Allen triggered a rally by the Heat with Birdman Chris Andersen contributing two points on a rebound shot followed by a quick 2-point conversion each by James and Chris Bosh for a 12-point lead two minutes into the second quarter.
Except on the first quarter when the Pacers took a one-point lead, the next three quarters all went to Miami Heat, scoring a wide margin from second up the the fourth quarter.
On Thursday, Miami Heat will collide with Western Conference titlist San Antonio Spurs for Game 1 of the NBA finals.
