A few nights ago, Google announced that it has decided to ban facial recognition apps from Google Glass, after people expressed concerns about it.
Google made the announcement via their Project Glass account. The company said that it has no plans on any facial recognition at this time.
According to Forbes, Google did say that the company won't add any facial recognition features to their products without first having strong privacy protections in place.
According to Inquisitr, in the past project managers for Google Glass have spoke out against facial recognition.
In the meantime, Google Glass was already hacked in a way that could leave Google powerless in stopping facial recognition software from being used.
