article imageCleveland hero Charles Ramsey becoming paid speaker

By Marcus Hondro     May 31, 2013 in Crime
The hero of Cleveland Charles Ramsey, who helped three young women and a baby to freedom ,now has a management company and can be hired for speaking engagements. He freed Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michele Knight, and Berry's baby, on May 6.
The women were held captive in a house for up to a decade each and when Amanda Berry called out a door of the house for help Ramsey, nearby, sprang into action, running on to the porch and kicking the door down and freeing her. They called 911 and as a result of his actions the man who imprisoned the women is now himself in prison, the women are adjusting to freedom and Ramsey is a hero.
And it was announced today that he has signed with Bruce Merrin's Celebrity Speakers and Entertainment Bureau. He'll be available for talks and question and answer sessions.
“Charles' story touched my heart. When he heard Amanda Berry screaming and crying out for help, he immediately jumped into action," Merrin said in a statement. "He forcibly kicked the front door open and assisted Amanda and her baby to freedom. They both called 911. Charles Ramsey is a true hero to me. I admire and respect him."
Ramsey's speaking fee, Merrin said, will be $10,000.
