By Eric Morales     May 27, 2013 in Crime
Anchorage - Jerry Andrew Active was on probation for assaulting a girl in 2009, when he allegedly raped a 2-year-old and killed her great-grand parents.
Jerry Andrew Active is accused of entering the Anchorage apartment of Touch Chea, 71-years-old and his 73-year-old wife Sorn Sreap on Saturday. Active allegedly beat Touch Chea to death, raped Sorn Sreap before also beating her to death and then raped the couples great-granddaughter, a 2-year-old toddler.
Jerry Andrew Active's violent crime spree was apparently interrupted when the toddler's father Von Seng entered the apartment. When Von Seng arrived at his grandparents home shortly after 8 p.m. he noticed the chain locked door ajar, offering a glimpse inside. His grandfather was bloody, as was his grandmother who was also nude from the waist down. Seng sent his wife to call police.
Inside the apartment Von Seng confronted Active, the two exchanged blows and Jerry Active managed to flee.
Jerry Andrew Active was later arrested near a neighbor's home wearing only his boxers.
“I said, motherf---er, did you murder my motherf-----g family?” Seng told the Achorage Daily News.
Not lost on the community of Anchorage is the fact that Jerry Active is a registered sex offender, having been convicted of the rape of an 11-year-old girl in Dillingham, Alaska in 2010.
The young girl was sexually assaulted in her home while her family slept.
Like the 2009 assault, Detectives say that Jerry Andrew Active randomly attacked the Cambodian immigrants and their great-granddaughter while their grandson had taken his family out to the movies.
Also inside the home was the toddlers 90-year-old great-great-grandmother who was unharmed. The woman suffers from dementia and is unable to communicate with police.
Von Seng whose night out with his family has turned into a living hell allegedly at the hands of the 24-year-old Jerry Active had strong words for the accused.
“He took the old, the innocent,” Seng told the Anchorage Daily News. “Come face me.”
On Sunday Active trying to shield his face appeared in court, a public defender was assigned, and bail was set at $1.5 million.
Monday it was revealed that Jerry Active had actually violated his probation, how recently the 24-year-old was incarcerated, or what kind of monitoring he was under is unknown however the Washington Post reported that Active's probation was set to end in 2014.
The 2-year-old toddler was taken to a local hospital and underwent surgery related to injuries stemming from her sexual assault
