article imageZach Sobiech, the world's greatest boyfriend, passed away at 18

By Anne Sewell     May 24, 2013 in World
Zach Sobiech was diagnosed with a terminal form of cancer at the age of 14. He made a conscious choice to become the very best person he could be, and he succeeded before he passed away at 18. His music videos have gone viral on the Internet.
Digital Journal reported on the song "Clouds", written and performed by Zach Sobiech.
Zach had been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer that affects children. Only 400 cases have been diagnosed in the USA in children under the age of 20.
He underwent a hip replacement operation, along with four thoracotomies, biopsies, minor surgeries, hours of physical therapy and months of chemotherapy.
Regrettably, in May 2012, it was found that the cancer had also spread to his pelvis and lungs, and there were no more treatments available to him. Zach was told that he had only months to live.
Zach got into his music, wrote songs, made hundreds of new friendships and literally touched the hearts of millions of people when his music videos went viral.
His girlfriend, Amy Adamie, talks in the video about how incredibly genuine and loving Zach was throughout his entire life.
Zach turned 18 on May 3, 2013 and, regrettably, passed away the morning of May 20, 2013, surrounded by his loved ones.
His family has asked that those who wish to honor his memory donate to the cancer research fund that Zach created. In his name, it is possible to help other children suffering with cancer.
You can also buy his album on iTunes, with the proceeds going to the research fund.
