article imageJon Bon Jovi takes a shot at Canadian pop star Justin Bieber

American pop rock star Jon Bon Jovi trashed Canadian pop R and B star Justin Bieber this week. Bon Jovi, on his 'Because We Can' tour in Vienna, told the London Evening Standard the Biebs may be just another rock screw-up.
"Every generation has guys that do that, none of that is new," Bon Jovi told reporter Alistair Foster in reference to Bieber being late for a concert in London and Germany. “They run the risk of disrespecting their audience members who have worked hard to pay for their ticket, to give you the permission to take two or three hours of their lives."
Bon Jovi: no Richie Sambora
Bon Jovi, 51, maker of the pop hits 'Livin' on a Prayer and 'You Give Love a Bad Name', has a rep of being a hard-worker. However, his guitar man, Richie Sambora, hasn't always been that. Sambora, who has substance abuse issues, missed a tour two years ago and is missing this one. His replacement on both tours is another Canadian, guitarist Phil X.
Bon Jovi figures hard work is exactly what is needed in the case of the 19-year-old Bieber: “Do it once, you can be forgiven," he said. "Do it enough times and shame on you. They won’t have you back. Then it just becomes a cliché. It’s really not cool (and) you’re an asshole. Go to fuckin’ work!”
Bon Jovi has never met Bieber and was only commenting on him from reports he'd read about Bieber's recent 'Believe' tour in Europe, where Bieber played some of the same venues that Bon Jovi is playing now.
