A 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck Northern California Thursday night with epicenter located 7 miles west northwest of Greenville, according to USGS,
The exact location of the earthquake was traced by USGS at 0.190°N 121.061°W depth=11.0km (6.8mi).
The quake location was nearest Greenville and 27 miles southwest of Susanville, 37 miles northeast of Magalia, 42 miles northeast of Paradise and 99 miles northwest of Carson City, Nevada.
No injuries or casualties have been reported so far.
Allen Shephard, 62, told Reuters the earthquake knocked him down "right off the couch and onto the floor."
Several smaller magnitude earthquake followed according to USGS.
