By Markos Papadatos     May 20, 2013 in Entertainment
As of May 19, country singer and Atlantic recording artist Brett Eldredge’s latest radio single “Don’t Ya” sits at No. 23 on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts.
It is the follow-up to his moving debut single “Raymond,” which earned rave reviews from music critics.
“Don’t Ya” was co-written by Brett, Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley and the song’s music video, directed by Mason Dixon, premiered on March 18. Thus far, the video has received well over 204,000 views on YouTube.
Throughout his music career, Brett has opened for global music superstar Taylor Swift, as well as country pioneer Willie Nelson and he has performed on the iconic Grand Ole Opry stage.
The Verdict
Overall, Brett Eldredge’s vocals on “Don’t Ya” are smooth and reminiscent to those of country singer-songwriter James Otto. The song is captivating and he proves yet again that he is one of the most underrated male vocalists in the country genre.
His debut studio album is expected to be released on August 6 and if his singles “Raymond” and “Don’t Ya” are any indication of what the new record is going to sounds like, it should be quite impressive. His new single garners 4 out of 5 stars.
