article imageAmerican foreign policy motivated Boston bomber

By Sami Zaatari     May 16, 2013 in World
Boston - One of the alleged Boston bombers Dzhokhar Tsarnaev left a note about why he carried out the marathon attack while surrounded by police.
Dzhokhar penned the note on the interior of the boat he was hiding in, most likely believing he was about to die, and so decided to explain his actions.
According to the note, Dzhokhar wrote that the bombings were done in retaliation for what America did in Afghanistan and Iraq, calling the victims of the Boston attack collateral damage just as when Muslims are collateral damage in the US led wars.
Dzhokhar has been charged with one count of using a weapon of mass destruction, and one count of malicious destruction of property resulting in death, he could face the death penalty.
The latest information corroborates what Dzhokhar told investigators during his interrogation, and seems to now give a clear insight into the main motivations of the attack.
