On May 10, Digital Journal had the chance to interview The Swon Brothers (from “Team Blake”) about their experiences on the hit NBC reality singing competition “The Voice.”
The country duo of brothers is comprised of Zach and Colton Swon. “It has been surreal and nothing but a blessing. It feels like a dream,” the duo exclaimed.
They are extremely proud to have reigning Country Music Association (CMA) “Entertainer of the Year” Blake Shelton as their coach and they noted that being a part of his team “feels like home” to them. “We couldn’t be happier with our choice,” they acknowledged.
The Swon Brothers revealed that their personal favorite song that they have performed on “The Voice” this season is “Fishin’ in the Dark.” “This song has been the most country tune we have done thus far and the crowd was amazing,” they said.
On their plans for the future, they remarked, “Loving God and people. We hope to play more music. This is what we were born to do. Broke or blessed.”
When asked about their proudest professional moment on the show, the duo shared, “When Blake said if he turned on the radio he would know it was The Swon Brothers. Also, he praised us for not sounding like anyone else. That was really cool.”
The Swon Brothers concluded by thanking their fans and viewers for their support. “Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are literally changing our lives strictly out of love and support. Thank you and God bless you all.”
