article imagePfizer to start selling Viagra online

By Owen Weldon     May 6, 2013 in Business
Men who do not like to go to the drugstore to buy Viagra will now have another option. They will be able to go online and buy Viagra directly from Pfizer.
According to Associated Press, Pfizer announced that it would start allowing patients to go to its website and purchase Viagra. This is a first for the drug industry.
According to Newsday, men who decide to buy online will still need to have a prescription, but they will not have to meet with a pharmacist in person in order to get the prescription filled.
According to Newser, it is likely that other major drugmakers will be watching the move closely. If it works, then other drugmakers may start selling medicines online.
Viagra is one of Pfizer's top selling drugs, with more than $1 billion in global revenue last year.
