The local community turned down a buyout on an island located in Scotland. Now the 800-acre island, situated off of the north-west coast, is now on sale.
According to Guardian, Tanera Mor, which is the largets and only inhabited island in the Summer Isles archipelago, is on sale for £2.5m.
According to Sky, as of now Tanera Mor is managed by Lizzie and Richard Williams, but they say it is time to give another family the chance to own the island.
According to NineMSN, CKD Galbraith, estate agents, described the island as a tourist enterprise that is flourishing, as well as a superb family residence.
Nine residential properties are located on the island, and so is a cafe. Three jetties and a post office are also on the island.
John Bound of CKD Galbraith, said that the chance for someone to own their own island in Scotland is a rare opportunity, and they expect to receive a lot of interested people when the island goes on the open market.
