Los Angeles - Rory Uphold is an upcoming actress and musician who released her EP in 2008. Some of her most successful tracks include “Catch Me If You Can” and “A Modern Day Fairytale.”, “Lullaby”, “I Want It All” and “Sugar High.”
For the past six years, Uphold has been involved in many ventures and events. Some of the endeavors include a tour of high schools and middle schools across the state of California to promote the importance of education.
During this time, she also participated in a tour with Colby O’ Donis as part of the Summer Jams Six Flags concert series, a collaboration with Elan Atias during the Levitt Pavilion Summer Concert Series, participation in the Queen Mary Jul. 4 concert with Ray Jay, Colby O’Donis and Girlicious and various other performance in clubs in Los Angeles and gigs showcased on MTV.
Rory Uphold has also had her tracks featured in the horror motion pictures “The Anniversary at Shallow Creek” and “The Victim.” In addition to this, three of her songs were featured in Merri Me, a web series that also won the 2009 Best Comedy TV Pilot at the Independent TV Festival. Uphold will be participating in other festivals throughout next autumn.
Recently, Uphold has worked on a short feature film called “Safety,” which she has herself written and directed. The film premiered at the Florida Film Festival and will be premiering at Dances with Films during May 30 and Jun. 9 in Los Angeles.
“Rory is exuberant and creative with her musical talent. You can see many different artists' influence in her sound yet it is still original. We are excited to launch her musical career,” said "It" Girl PR CEO Juliette Harris in a media release.
Uphold is a committed artist and wants to continue to engage in ventures that would enable her to use her singing and acting skills effectively. She is excited about her upcoming web-series, her plans to participate in various festivals and the premiering of her personal project, “Safety.”
