article imageDaniel Sedin moves into second all-time in Canucks scoring

By Marcus Hondro     Apr 23, 2013 in Sports
Daniel Sedin followed his linemate and brother Henrik past Markus Naslund in the all-time Canucks scoring list Monday night in Vancouver in a Canucks 3-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. The Sedins now stand one-two in points for the team.
Daniel got point number 757 to pass Naslund in the second period when he and brother Henrik set up burly Canucks youngster, the Zack Attack, Zack Kassian in front of the Hawks net, the goal making it 2-0. Henrik set up Daniel for a breakaway goal a little later in the period and put the game out of reach for the Hawks.
Daniel now has 291 goals and 467 assists for 758 points. In a side note, the game was the 905th of Daniel's NHL career, exactly how many games it took Henrik to get to 757 points. Henrik, who passed Naslund in February, has played more games than his brother due to Daniel missing more games from injury and now has 182 goal and 609 assists for 791 points in 938 games.
Combined, the Sedins have 1,549 points.
