article imageT.I. chastises media for connecting Boston bombings to HipHop

By Layne Weiss     Apr 21, 2013 in Entertainment
It's being reported that Boston marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev frequently visited a website called Real-HipHop.com. According to HipHopDX, he even had an email address associated with the site.
Various media outlets, most notably TMZ, have come along to say that HipHop may have played a role in the bombings that took place last Monday. Atlanta rapper T.I. is speaking out against this notion.
"HipHop narrates the activities and conditions of our culture," he told TMZ. "It doesn't create them."
The rapper continued by saying, "HipHop ain't never about hurting innocent people." He also called "Boston a terrible tragedy," and said his "prayers go out to the families involved."
As far as Real-HipHop.com is concerned, TI's pictures were apparently posted on the site, but Tip claims that until now, he's never even heard of it. There is some confusion as clicking the link takes you to a page that says "site coming soon." The site is a source for Hip Hop news and DVD releases, Vlad TV reports.
Tamerlan Tsarnaev's younger brother, Dzhokhar , was also a HipHop fan and reportedly tweeted various rap lyrics before the attacks.
Just as T.I. took issue with TMZ reporting "Dead Bombing Suspect HEAVY INTO HIPHOP," he also didn't take it lightly when they reported that Lil Wayne was in "critical condition" due to seizures. It was true that the rapper did suffer from seizures, but TMZ completely exaggerated the story.
Tip took to Twitter to go after TMZ for reporting that "hoe-ass-shit." He said that sort of reporting hurt Weezy's mother, children, friends and others and he just couldn't believe they would be so irresponsible.
