While out at sea, another Carnival cruise ship has lost power. This time the Carnival Ecstasy, which can carry 2,056 passengers, lost power.
According to DailyMail, the Ecstasy was traveling off the coast of Florida on Wednesday when the incident occurred.
According to NBC, the power failure lasted for 12 minutes, and it caused hotel services to shut down. The ship was approaching its homeport after being out at sea for five days.
According to USA Today, the power failure was due to a mechanical issue, and it was quickly taken care of.
The cruise line announced that it is planning an upgrade to emergency power systems, fire systems and engine-related electrical components on its fleet of 24 ships.
