article imageFBI Bulletin: Exploding targets could be used by terrorists

By Alex Allen     Apr 19, 2013 in Politics
The FBI and DHS together have deemed everything from coffee grinders to cameras suspicious but now they are going after exploding targets.
In a recently released document from March, 2013, the FBI went after exploding targets, claiming that they can be used as explosives by "criminals and extremists."
Exploding targets are popular among many recreational shooters who enjoy shooting things that blow up; But according to the FBI, criminals who are seeking explosive devices for illicit use may turn to these targets as an alternative source due to the rising amount of regulations and restrictions on ammonium-nitrate based fertilizers.
According to the document, exploding targets contain ammonium nitrate and are not as highly regulated as ammonium-nitrate based fertilizers.
This comes from the same government that has warned against coffee grinders, photography, and using a pay phone at a hotel, claiming that these could all be signs of potential terrorist activity.
