article imageJay Mohr: Boston attack result of gun culture

By Paul Iddon     Apr 17, 2013 in Politics
The actor and comedian Jay Mohr tweeted the other day that the deadly terrorist attack on the Boston massacre was a result of America's gun culture and stated in accordance with that belief that the '2nd amendment must go'.
The Daily Caller and The Washington Times quoted the actor as tweeting the following on Monday (tweets reprinted with their lax spelling, punctuation etc.), "What bothers me most about today is that we're getting used 2 it. ENOUGH. 2nd amendment must go. Violence has 2 stop. Culture MUST change."
In another tweet he also linked the Second Amendment rights of Americans to what he saw as a "culture of violence."
He asked other tweeters who opposed this view to, "Stop blowing up my timeline w your gun/porn fetishes."
Upon being obliged to elaborate he went on to say that, "Newtown tragedy was gun violence. Where are u maniacs coming from. I'm just stating that its so sad we're getting used to watching it on tv."
He went on to say that his contention wasn't linked to politics, he was simply "sick of watching bloodshed on tv. It's become reality tv and we're becoming numb. Amazed at pro gun responses."
He also re-tweeted some of the more abusive and incoherent comments that opted to attack his personal and professional self rather than his view.
