Boston - The controversial Westboro Baptist Church has vowed to picket the funerals of those killed in the Boston Marathon blasts.
The church made the announcement in a press release via Twitter. The group titled their press release with the controversial headline of "Thank God for the Boston Marathon bombs".
Their statement also went on to say that God sent the bombs:
The federal government is classifying the bombs as a terrorist attacks, but say it's unclear if it's of a domestic or foreign nature. Here's a hint - God SENT THE BOMBS!
According to the church this is God's punishment on America for its support of same sex marriages.
A petition has been started to try and attempt to ban the church from picketing the funeral, with over 5,000 signatures thus far, the petition needs at least 100,000 before it gets sent to the White House.
At least 3 people were killed in yesterday's deadly Boston Marathon attacks, with the youngest victim being an 8 year old boy who was there to cheer his dad.
Investigators have yet to identify any suspect(s) behind the blasts.
