Atlantic Nashville recording artist Hunter Hayes released his new single “I Want Crazy” to radio on April 8, 2013. He premiered this song at this year’s Academy of Country Music (ACM) awards, which were co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton.
It is the lead-off single from his upcoming Hunter Hayes (Encore) album. “I Want Crazy” was co-written by Hunter and such esteemed country songwriters as Lori McKenna and Troy Verges.
The audio version of this song that was posted on his official YouTube channel has garnered well over 426,000 views, which is quite an accomplishment since it has only been posted on his YouTube page for a little over a week.
The Verdict
Overall, Hunter Hayes’ “I Want Crazy” is infectious and a very radio-friendly tune, where fans can easily sing along to its chorus. It is worthy of the repeat button on one’s mp3 or CD player. His vocals are fresh and uplifting and his instrumental ability on this tune is noteworthy. He proves yet again that his talent has no limits. “I Want Crazy” garners 5 out of 5 stars.
With a song of this caliber, Hunter is destined to follow in the steps of Brad Paisley and Keith Urban and become the next big country music superstar.
